It is a moment of immense pride as the students of BGSIRS, our very own “Galaxy Walkers,” have brought laurels to the school by excelling in the 9th Edition of the “Soccer Robot Championship” held at the prestigious IIT Delhi campus on March 29th and 30th, 2025. This esteemed event was jointly organized by Techradiance, providing a platform for young innovators to showcase their technical prowess and creativity.
The journey to success began with a rigorous selection process, initiated through a two-day workshop conducted on December 6th and 7th, 2024. This engaging session, led by esteemed Technical Trainer Mr. Vijay from Chennai, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 58 students. All attendees were awarded Certificates of Participation, while the top 21 performers received Certificates of Merit. After a series of evaluations, the best six contenders secured their place in the Grand Tour of the Robot Championship.
Adding to their remarkable achievement, our students were honored with the Grand Prize for Maximum Viewership on their YouTube video, which brilliantly showcased their Soccer Robot and its cutting-edge components. Their creativity and technical acumen captured widespread attention, further amplifying their success. Additionally, our dedicated co-ordinators were recognized with the prestigious “Best STEM Co-ordinator” award for their exceptional mentorship and guidance.
