BGSIRS believes that we have borrowed the earth from our children and not inherited from our forefathers. True to the belief, the students and teachers took active participation in Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign

to spread the message of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene in the society.

It was celebrated by undertaking Shramdaan activities at Nallakhamba. The participation as Jan Andolan led to a successful Cleanliness Drive “ Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Sath highlighting the theme “Garbage Free India.”

The campaign created awareness through a Street Play accentuating the need for Garbage free India with effective placards. Students enthusiastically joined hands to pick up the litter and clean the public space.

The Swachhata Pledge undertaken by the students and teachers was indeed efficacious.

The initiative encouraged students to engage in an hour of Shramdan at Nallakambha. The Massive Rally, a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, portrayed values of Environmental Consciousness, Community Engagement, Environmental Stewardship and Social Responsibility. The students quoted, “ The drive was a remarkable display of resounding success. We take pride in the achievement and look forward to a cleaner, healthier and vibrant community.”

It left an indelible mark on the hearts of the people who witnessed the drive and appreciated the students for their tremendous efforts.
