Investiture Ceremony 2023-24

The first grand event of the academic year 2023-24, the BGSIRS investiture ceremony was held at BGS IRS auditorium in a magnificent manner. The program began with an invocation song invoking the blessings of the almighty, followed by lamp lighting and guruvandana dedicated to our founder Param poojya Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji. The inauguration of the ultramodern LED display screen was carried out by the Chief pontiff of Adichunchunagari shikshana trust Poojya Sri Sri Sri.Dr. Nirmalananthanatha Mahaswamiji and our Managing director Dr.Sri.Sri. Dr Prakashnath Swamiji was followed by a video featuring a day of BGSIRS which was the highlight of the show. The student dancers then presented a delightful invocation dance performance. This was followed by a remarkable welcome speech by our Principal Ms Shyamashree Chatterjee which evoked the spirit of a leader that should be in every individual who have been designated with that role. The core event began with marching of captains, vice captains, sports captains followed by house captains and student editors, cultural captains, student coordinators and counsellors and their badging and sashing and handing over of flags and placards. The occasion was graced by the dignified presence of guests of honour- Dr Harsha PS , IPS, Inspector General of Police, Mr Arun Sagar, Art Director and Theatre personality, Mr Santhosh Reddy, actor and film director of Kannada film industry, Ms Rupa Iyer, actor, award winning director, choreographer and model, Ms Soundarya Gowda International beauty pageant winner in Sri Lanka, Ms Karunya Ram who conferred the leaders with sashes and badges along with Mahaswamiji and Swamiji. The school captain Ansh gave the command for the first time after being adorned with his position and the school captain girls, Kyra Gopalakrishna gave an enthusiastic speech after taking official charge. There were some mesmerising songs rendered by the school choir wishing the best to the newly elected council members who are the torch bearers of the school. The troupe of student dancers once again set the stage rocking with their stunning dance performance that added zeal to the celebration. The school toppers of class 10th and 12th CBSE board exams 2022-23 were felicitated by Mahaswamiji and Swamiji during the solemn function. The chief guests Dr Harsha PS,Ms Soundarya Gowda and Ms Karunya Ram addressed the audience that thrusted on the energy level that should be maintained by a leader and their how their positive outlook on issues would impact their actions. The versatile personality Mr Arun Sagar engaged and enthralled the students with his interesting activities and left the audience amazed. Mahaswamiji blessed the toppers and newly elected school council members with his enlightening speech. The event came to a close with the National anthem.
